Menu Monday: Extra Padded Edition

Been about 2 weeks since I've blogged, China blocks Friendster blogs, don't enjoy blogging when I can't read it myself. So this will be my extra padded edition, two weeks worth of "Menu Monday" all in one big bundle.

- Left for Shanghai on a Monday, the 28th of April. On that day I did something horrible to Gill.... Gill I am sorry... I owe you dinner.

- For some reason everyone says I've gotten darker. Maybe I'm finally getting the LA pigmentation back.

- Congrats.... Just wanted to say congrats to someone.

- Being in Shanghai in two weeks has really gotten me used to the idea of traveling back and forth. It's not too much of an issue me in China anymore. I can order fantastic beef noodles, awesome fried dumplings and best of all, pork jerky. I should pick some of that up in Hong Kong tomorrow.

- This also means I should be a decent Shanghai tour guide for any of you coming to visit. Just keep that in mind people.

- in a couple of days I'll finally have something I've been working on publicly shown. As I am under NDA I can't say anything but I'll let you guys know.

- I don't have the balls to bring pirated DVD's back from China so I never buy them. However what I end up doing is buy CD's rip them, I could do the same with DVD's if I wanted to. Maybe I should.

- Had a Tango. A french beer, tastes like after dinner wine mixed with beer, quite interesting. BTW i've been drinking an INSANE amount of beer in China. Why is that? 4RMB for a big bottle of beer. That's why.

- Learned from a friend this past week that North Carolina is actually a great place to live. I'm happy with Hong Kong right now.

- Just in case you were curious, my cousin Shirley and her family can really eat.. REALLY EAT.

- Stuck in an interesting dilemma. The night before I left Shanghai, which is two days ago, I went for a massage, had a great conversation with the masseuse. She was also kind enough to go grab cash with me because I didn't bring enough money for a massage. She gave me her number and told me to call her when I'm up in Shanghai again and we can hang out and she'll show me around. She's from Sizuan. If you don't know where that is, that's where the huge earthquake is. Now I'm wondering if I should give her a call and ask if her family is ok. Not sure what to do... I'll let the comments decide from this blog make the decision for me. I need feedback.

Thank you and call her! If I were her, I would think you were super sweet for calling.
